Writing Prompt 1 - Lock

Panicking would never help. He could hear his mother's voice. Panicking won't help you, you have to calm down.
Barnaby tried to calm down, tried to count to ten, tried to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth and nothing worked.
This time, the lock was locked and no amount of calm would help him to crack it.
They would catch him, now after all these years and after he came so close, now they would catch him.
He'd see his mother sooner than expected.
